finally after approx 1 hour work i finally fixed it, now for the story

Well i was doing my coursework, i got an im from lewt04, he asked if my script was working and if it was slow, but as my site was down, i didn’t know, then it snapped me, i knew it! runescape changed the hiscore to .ws (i call it the death page). I already planned it well before and got 1/3 of the script working, now all i had to do is to compile it to my class, which took a good 30 minutes to get it all working, now that i have fixed it i had to test it. first time test run on my test board it went bezerk, i debuged the script and i found out that i forgot one important variable, i quickly fixed it and uploaded it, and it worked, even faster than before, how amazing.

Many of you will be experiencing very slow stats grab because you are using fread() or file() well they don’t work well atm because of .ws. WS files were added when they changed the runescape website template and now after a few months they added it to the hiscore. Well i guess they would have done that at some point.There are 2 theories to what i believe makes it time out when using those.

1. jagex identifies if the script grabbing it is a php script or a browser, if it is browser it allows connection else it denies connection or something like that

2. Apache cannot recognise .ws, or something like that.

Well something is for sure, icefuzion was the first website to get their stats grabber working
