I’ve went back to the image class to add a crop function to allow me to crop some images through Js to display them correctly without any errors. I am using defusion‘s cropper which uses scriptaculous and prototype. The one problem I am facing is that ipb’s js does not work at all when scriptaculous is called so I am going to use a blank popup page so that I can do the croping there and send data to a form on the opener page.

Today I finally got started on listing the product through php and smarty, it should be working on both small screens to big screens. I stillned to find a suitable way of using images to show users how the product looks like. Ill probably might have to start making the gallery that I was planning to release to show users more about the skin. I don’t really want to show public demos as according to friends of mine we discusses how it is easy for anyone to grab all the images of a skin and most of the public template bits to remake the same exact skin. So it would be better for us to release demos to people who really want to and for the public it would be best for them to view the skin through screen shots.

I may start the gallery about next week and lay low on the hiscore development for a while, anyways there is a lot more to do on the hiscore than anything else and also the hiscore isn’t much rewarding than icelabz.

Today I have been working on the product being displayed to the public, I have done quite a lot of work on the research on how to display it. I still need to make links to the actual product page itself, ill probably do this tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Also I decided to start working on a new template which will be on the product listing. I won’t show it to the public yet! but I hope it will be amazing enough.

Another praise to Smarty
I must say it again, Smarty template system is really really really good and useful, it has cut down my development time by almost half, as usually I would have used some really ugly way of presenting the data through html embeded within php.

New hiscore not so hiscore anymore

The new hiscore will not be the new hiscore that we all know, it will be much more than a hiscore.

You have all seen that I have added the application system on the hiscore and there is a lot where that came from; So we decided to release something special which will be something extra and much powerful and especially to clans!

I won’t say more about it at the moment, I’ll just leave you hanging there for to see what will be coming up in a few weeks.

Also on another note we are looking for a good established Runescape help site/community to affliate with hiscore 3.x and all Runescape related addons that we are going to release. News – Mythic to work on Ultima Online // PC /// Eurogamer
Just weeks after EA announced its acquisition of MMO developer Mythic, it’s been revealed that the studio will be helping out with Ultima Online.

A statement on the UO website reads: “These are exciting days for MMORPG fans here at EA. With the acquisition of Mythic, the UO team will be working with the creative folks who brought us Dark Age of Camelot and are hard at work on the spectacular-looking Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.”

Wow that sounds promising, I really love DAOC, but through the past 2-8 months I was not able to play any mmorpg at all. I am planning on getting my account back next year, hopefully it would be as good as always, I love it more than wow or any other MMO i’ve played or tried out.

I was not able to code much today as the heat was just to annoying and distracting, every 20min I had to go refill my bottle and poor some ice into the air condition to make it colder, but it didn’t really do much. Hopefully I will be able to start coding early when its cold so that I can have a head start.
