This is a mini word press guide which will show you how to pre-write posts/articles and publish it on a certain date.

This guide would be useful to users who wants to write and display their posts on certain dates without them coming back on that day and publish it.

First you need to get wordpress. There are 2 versions the hosted one or the downloaded version. I prefer having and hosting my own blog so I use the downloaded version.

Installing wordpress
Download the files from wordpress and follow the installation instruction provided with the downloaded files.

Writing the post & setting the date
Once you have installed WP go to the admin control panel and click “write”. Now you will be presented with a text box and on the right there are a few menus. Find and open “Post timestamp”, there check “Edit Timestamp” and set the date you want the post to display. Once you have written your post just click publish and it won’t be displayed until the date you set have arrived.

Like I said above it can be useful if you like to publish articles regularly on certain dates.
It is not really a full guide, but just a little trick you can use when publishing blogs, I sometimes use it when there are these days I want to write books.
