today i finished the admincp, it is now easier to insert new users, update their group and their stats.

I am also thinking of removing cron jobs as it is quite resource extensive and there is just too many errors occuring. So i have decided to implement user updates via page views on the hiscore. meaning that whenever some1 views a page on the hiscore component it will update a bunch of users. I will also have a small button on the users stats where other users can update the persons stats each 24 hours.

I am going to try to get some display done on the front end of the hiscore

ok today, erhmmm, yesterday.. I have been working on the admincp side the hiscore and everything is going to plan.

Ill probably start on the display of individual stats by tomorrow. I hope it will be done with the admincp today so that i can carry on with things.

Hopefully you will also be able to see your stats on your profile page with the aid of the tabs feature which totally rocks!

Today I have started on a completely new core engine for for Invision Power Board 2.2

On this version I have decided to split the Application addon out of the hiscore to make work as a standalone. Also the settings are being transfered to global Vars so that it users can use some or parts of the settings to develop upon.

The design should be the same from the IPB 2.1.x version but just with a minor tweak and also having everysingle html on the IPB DB so that it editable.

For the past 1 year and a bit I had been with tiscali. Every now and then the service gets really poor and when I phone in and complain about the service and that I am going to cancel, the issue is then fixed within a few days but it then happens again 2-3 days later.

The issues started on day 1 and every 2-3 months the service just get poor again. And by service I mean internet connection and speed.

I’ve had enough of tiscali and all it’s crap technical support.

Here are a few lot of their issues that I faced:

• first day I get broadband with them i face server down time and when it is fixed the router they sent me doesn’t want to work. So i used my internal ADSL modem.
• 2-3 months later they upgrade me without notice and i lose connection for a while.
• I also get regular warning emails when I download 1gb of files in a day or so.
• When they upgraded the line to support 4mb it fucked up my connection
• I upgraded to 2mb a few weeks later on and I was paying £22.00 or something like that for 20gb limit and then they upgrade it to unlimited and got me to follow the fair usage policy.
• Now since september from 6-11pm I am experiencing MAJOR slow connection and dns errors.
• In November I couldn’t access no https:// sites between 6-11pm
• between those time atm I can access only a few sites as the rest of the sitest that I want to visit are either slow at loading or never loads at all.

The solution to all of this is to switch to a different provider, one that is reliable and has customer support within britain and not outsourced to india. So I asked for my MAC code so that I could switch to BT total broadband.

Oh yah, also they tried to offer me a lower price for my internet connection which I refused while explaining why. They also wanted me to contact technical support about it, which I refused.

Oh I also asked them if I could acces my emails even after they canceled and they said no, and also that all the emails will be deleted after I cancel. That is justb bullshit, aol offers you 1 month of access to your email even if it got canceled so that you can make the changes to your personal services incase it is needed. It’s pretty bullshit now, I got 2 people who uses tiscali to switch to something else.

Now I only need to wait till next wednesday or upto friday for my new router+new isp.

Advise to all, don’t get Tiscali Broadband or any of their service.

This tutorial is going to show you how to import the runescape news to your board automatically without you going to runescape and copy + pasting it to your site with quotation marks.
