Today I uploaded a new build of minerva on my demo board . I have added furl for the pagination of both thread and forum. I also fixed a few bugs here and there. I hope that most of it works.

Next up I am going to finish off urls that I have missed out and work on the getnewpost from threads to work with furl.

Well by the looks of it, it doesn’t seem that I will release anything for the public for now. I am still going to carry on developing the project until a stable functionality of the board has been achieved.

This small guide will tell you how to increase search engine ranking and keyword phrases with minor changes to WordPress. This actually worked for me and i increased my organic compaigns (meaning referrers from search engine ) by 118% over 1-2 months period. Where it was only around 16 hits a month ago compared to around 160 hits now just from organic.

The first thing I was to add some social bookmarks on my own with just some simple html and the how to from the social network site. I just choose the 2 most common one. I think that is enough because I use them and they are useful. But if you like to add more be my guests. Here is what I have on mine:

I just added that in just under the post box. Oh btw the way the posts are being displayed is totally different from wordpress default.

Another plugin that I used is acronymer this is a pretty cool tool which allows you to automatically convert acronyms with abbr tags around them and giving them explanation.

The next thing I did was to add a meta description only to the header. Even though google doesn’t use them for different parts of your site as it generates them automatically. I added it so that people know what the site is about if there are looking up my site. I also think google doesn’t like when people dictate what keywords would be good for the page that is why I didn’t add it.

One of the most dramatical change was the format of my title. The tutorial for that can be found here. I wrote it a few weeks ago. And it worked.

The most important thing I did is to continuously add content, really good content related to what I like the blog to be about. Like this tutorial on SEO and WordPress. I wrote it because it worked for me. And google likes good content which helps users and not copied content. And one more thing that google likes is emphasis words that are relevant. I normally bold up 1-2 keywords or phrases per paragraph. Google likes it

Well as I recently aquired the Wii console I was pretty hooked on it for a few hours until I went back to coding the seo and writing a little bit on the guide on how to make a component.

ATM i haven’t done much on the SEO code but I have started setting up the admincp control settings on ipb. But I am hopeing to get something sorted soon so that I can have a release by Sunday.

I am also writing a little (really big) guide on how to make a component or module for ipb 2.2.x with some examples and explanation to get you started. It’s around 500+ words now and I am still introducing things on ipb. This may take some time…

When I get time ill post some development on the seo and pictures of my wii console.

The reason I am asking is that I want to cover most topics related to developing mods on ipb and what better way to cover everything is to ask what you guys want.

It seems that the development of the first closed beta release is nearing. In this version it should at least handle most urls and stop the search engine from spidering useless pages which is against their T&C.

At the moment there are just a few urls that needs to be converted into a nice uniformed url and to auto redirect misspelled forum urls.

After that I will add a title seo hack, then a meta generator hack, an acronym hack, and a few other things that needs to be done.
